This class is for boys in grades 7-8, and must be accompanied by a paid adult. Young teens experience a lot more freedom with their environment, relationships and the internet. 1 in 4 girls, and 1 in 10 boys will experience a sexual assault during their youth, 80-90% by people they know, and 10-20% by strangers. We will teach the best ways to recognize and avoid danger, and escape if necessary with some simple skills. It is also important they know how to tell and who to tell even when it is difficult. We will also discuss ideas for internet safety, and peer pressure with drugs and alcohol.
This class is age appropriate, and parents are highly encouraged to attend with their child. This is a stepping stone to our adult classes which are taught in High School and above.
Financial assistance is available for schools and nonprofit organizations through Super Hero Kids Foundation. For information use “contact us”. We are also happy to arrange a private class for your group.
Cost is $30 per person, and lasts 1.5 hours
